New members of the family

So this month is the kids birthday so every year we get a group present and one for there birthday day. I cant believe we got the kids mice for there group presents, What were we thinking at the time. The kids loves them, they really do (oh the cat thinks they are alright too ). I have to say they are not to bad, Stephy has called hers Princess, Nick called his Jack and Oli has called his Stewart, mine you they are all girls.

Princess is a very quite and lovely one, she will just sit on your lap, great for Stephy.

Nick is getting use to his mouse, very friendly one

Stewart is a what can i say, a little @%*!, but getting heaps better with handling.

Apart of the mice Matt got himself a 2ND hand ride on mower this week, so most of today he was fixing it (having fun on it). So after he had finish playing around on his new toy we went for a bush walk down to Katoomba falls, it's so lovely down there. We didn't stay to long because it was a bit chilly.

Today I get an email about A lady who is giving away a FREE cookie recipe,what's the big deal about a cookie recipe you say, well here is the story

For all you cookie lovers and bakers!!!!! A good story and a recipe for free. This is a true story. Please forward when you finish reading! A little background: Neiman-Marcus, if you don't know already, is a Very expensive shop; i.e. they sell a typical $8.00 T-shirt for $50.00. Let's let them have it! THIS IS A TRUE STORY My daughter and I had just finished lunch at a Neiman-Marcus Cafe in Dallas Because both of us are such biscuit lovers, we decided to try the "Neiman-Marcus cookie". It was so excellent that I asked if they would give me the recipe. The waitress said with a small frown, "I'm afraid not, but you can BUY The recipe." I asked how much, and she responded; "Only two fifty - it's a great deal!" I agreed to that, and told her to add it to my bill. Thirty days later, I got my VISA statement, and the Neiman-Marcus Charge was $285.00. I looked at it again, and I remembered I had only spent $9.95 for two Sandwiches and about $20.00 for a scarf. At the bottom of the statement it said, "Cookie Recipe-$250.00". That was outrageous! I called Neiman's Accounting Department and told them the waitress had Said it was "two fifty", which clearly does not mean "two hundred and Fifty dollars" by any reasonable interpretation of the phrase. Neiman-Marcus refused to budge. They would not refund my money because, according to them; "What the Waitress told you is not our problem. You have already seen the recipe. We absolutely will not refund your money." I explained to the Accounting Department lady the criminal statutes Which govern fraud in the state of Texas. I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's office. I was basically told: Do what you want. Don't bother thinking of how you can get even, and don't bother trying To get any of your money back". I said, OK, you've got my $250, and now I'm going to have $250 worth Of fun I told her that I was going to see to it that every cookie Lover in the world with an e-mail account gets a $250 cookie recipe From Neiman-Marcus... for free. She replied, "I wish you wouldn't do that." I said, "Well, perhaps you should have thought of that before you RIPPED ME OFF!" and slammed down the phone. So here it is! Please pass it on to everyone you can possibly think of. I paid $250 for this, and I don't want Neiman-Marcus to EVER make Another penny from this recipe! NEIMAN-MARCUS COOKIES (Recipe may be halved)

2 cups butter

680grms chocolate chips

4 cups flour

2 cups brown sugar

2 tsp. (Bicarb) soda

1 tsp. salt

2 cups sugar

510grms (grated) Cadbury chocolate

5 cups blended oatmeal

4 eggs

2 tsp. baking powder

2 tsp. vanilla

3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)

Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking Powder and Bicarb (soda). Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar, and nuts. Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at (180) 375 degrees. The above quantities make 112 cookies. PLEASE KEEP THE RECIPE AND SEND IT TO EVERY PERSON YOU KNOW WHO HAS AN E-MAIL ADDRESS! This is not a joke-it's a true story.

So lucky for me I had all the goodies in the cupboard so I made a half a patch OMG they are YUMMY. Watch out lady in the photography class tomorrow.

It put a smile on my face

Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain but there in the sandbox at nursery school. These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt someone. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work some every day. Take a nap every afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup. The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup -- they all die. So do we. And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and sane living. Think of what a better world it would be if we all -- the whole world -- had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if we had a basic policy in our nation and other nations to always put things back where we found them and cleaned up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world it is best to hold hands and stick together. "All I ever really needed to know I learned in kindergarten"

wow cant believe how quick this weekend went past, love having the weekends off. I'm feeling on top of things at the moment, the great news is that I'm off the depression pill, and going really good, I really think that for me dealing /walking away with negative people in my life is a huge part of helping me with my depression. I spent hours talking with the person who trigger it. I feel so good to get it out and tell them how I feel about them, it doesn't mean I have forgiven them,I don't think I can, but we are moving on.

but it feels so good to have the people who can give me the positive in my life, the main people are my family and my true friends who has stayed with me at the most ed hardest time in my life, it's the little things that count that helped me like, how a really feeling/asking for my advice/having a cup per/ lovely emails,cards. so big thanks to you guys, you know who you are.

anyway Friday night the family went out to dinnerhad a great time sitting there having fun

*Saturday night had a movie night with the kids we watched barn yard very fun movie.Matt and I LOL more then the kids

*I made a lovely box to put my ribbons,so happy how it turned out.
